Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club
About Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club
The club has it's origins in 1889 as the Hong Kong Corinthian Sailing Club, when the island was under British governance.
It gained the title "Royal" and this has been retained for English-speaking visitors to the club, though as the island is now part of China, it translates from Chinese as Hong Kong Yacht Club.
The main clubhouse has architectural merit - it's built in the International Modern Style in 1940 and Grade III listed.
The club's facilities are superb and enable it to support a wide range of social and sailing activities.
